# aboard down

> Stop the local server and the delivery daemon.

aboard down [--json]
```

Stops the local server and the delivery daemon, and waits until both have stopped. They don't stay stopped while Aboard is set up: the next hook in an open session starts the daemon again, and commands that need the server start it. To remove Aboard, use aboard uninstall.
